Rec Boats

MARE 1001

This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of common recreational boat term definitions, in water and out of water boat handling, land storage methods, extended storage procedures and common on-board operational systems including electrical, plumbing and corrosion control. The student's knowledge regarding the use of information systems, Transport Canada and the American Boat and Yacht Council. installation and repair standards is reinforced. Successful students will have the opportunity to become certified by ABYC.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
